Last updated: 13 May 2026. This policy explains how Ciobanu Labs uses cookies and similar technologies on ciobanulabs.de, in line with the EU ePrivacy Directive and § 25 TTDSG (Germany).
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help websites function and collect information. We also use comparable technologies such as localStorage and pixel tags.
2. Categories of Cookies We Use
- Strictly necessary — required for the site to function (session, security, cookie-consent preference, payment-flow tokens set by Stripe). Set without consent on the basis of § 25(2) TTDSG.
- Functional — remember UI preferences (e.g. region, theme). Set only with consent.
- Analytics — measure aggregate, pseudonymous traffic to improve the site. Set only with consent.
- Marketing — used only if you opt in; we do not run advertising cookies by default.
3. Third-Party Cookies
Stripe sets cookies on its checkout iframe to detect fraud and process payments — this is required for secure card processing. Hosting and CDN providers may set strictly-necessary cookies for security and load balancing.
4. Managing Your Choices
When you first visit, our consent banner lets you accept all, reject all, or choose by category. You can change your choice at any time by clearing site data in your browser or revisiting the consent banner. You may also block or delete cookies through your browser settings; disabling strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the site.
5. Retention
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies expire between 30 days and 12 months depending on purpose, and your consent record is stored for up to 12 months.
